Fucking none.

I had all of a couple seconds to mutter “well, shit” when my Cherokee made sweet, sweet love to the back of an ML500. There is no instinct. There is just the realization that the light entering your eyes may be the last you will ever see. Your cool-online-guy edginess aside, you should put your trust in the safety devices in your car.

I went there. In a car without an airbag. Wasn’t fun. Luckily I got slowed down enough that the seat belt prevented all injuries, but that was a scary moment.
